Hospice Tree of Life Donations

The Surrey Hospice Society has always believed that the work done by its volunteers is to help people find meaning and purpose at one of life's most difficult times. Since trees are necessary to life on this planet, it seems appropriate then that the Society adopted a tree as its symbol. In keeping with this symbol, the Society's key supporters are identified as different parts of the Hospice Tree of Life.

Roots --- Donations of $5000 or greater

Just as roots ground the tree, hold in place, and provide the system that derives nourishment to be delivered to the whole tree, donors at this level provide the Society with foundational support that ensures its continued existence.

Trunks --- Donations of $3000 to $5000

Just as the tree's trunk is the delivery system that carries nourishment to the entire tree, donors at this level provide the Society with support that allows for development of the framework required to deliver essential services.

Branches --- Donations of $1000 to $3000

Just as the branches provide the tree with its form and shape, donors at this level provide the Society with the ability to expand existing programs and develop new programs as required for the people of our community.

Leaves --- Donations of $500 to $1000

Just as leaves refresh the air and give the tree its colour, donors at this level provide the Society with resources to recruit, develop, and support volunteers and the new ideas they bring.

Seeds --- Donations up to $500

Just as the seeds of the tree are carried by the wind to take root and produce new life, donors at this level are plentiful and their participation assures that the message of hospice will be carried throughout the community.
Tax deductible donations to Surrey Hospice Society can help to offset some of your annual tax due to Revenue Canada. Surrey Hospice Society will issue a tax receipt for any donation over $25.00.
